Who we are & How we help
Everyone's graduate education journey is unique.
At some point during the journey, everyone can benefit from someone who will listen, mentor, and help guide - to help navigate the process.
Who we are
We are a group of educators and researchers who have our Doctor of Philosophies. We have gone through the process of obtaining a Masters degree and a PhD degree. Our backgrounds are varied, our journeys to obtain our PhDs are varied, and our abilities to help you navigate your dissertation are vast.
What we do, and what we don't do
First, let's clear the air on what we do not do. We do not edit your text. We do not do your literature review. We do not talk to your advisor and we are not your advisor. In other words, we are not a writing course, we are not an editor, and we are not a mediator.
We work with you to help guide you as
you navigate your dissertation. We meet with you to help ensure you understand how to, and do, map out a viable path and plan to complete your degree. We will work with you to help you stay on track, to understand your real and perceived barriers and options to mitigate them.
In addition, if requested, we can help you use your critical thinking skills as you evaluate your dissertation chapters to ensure they support each other. We will provide tools and coaching to help you think through each chapter of your dissertation and how they interact. From research question(s) to methodology, results, discussion, and conclusions.
Finally, what we do is help you to understand that obtaining your advanced degree is more than just the dissertation. It is a complex project. The good news is that, as with any project, it can be viewed as a process. With our assistance, you can break it into reasonable chunks and evaluate each chunk for needed resources, needed time, predecessors, and antecedents. We will also help you think through the risks and opportunities for improvement within each chunk and the process as a whole.
